Election of a County Councillor  for the Norfolk County Council Electoral Division listed below: 

Division - Fakenham & The Raynhams 

Number of Councillors to be  elected- One  


1. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Electoral  Services, North Norfolk District Council, Holt Road, Cromer, Norfolk, NR27 9EN, or from the  Electoral Commission website by visiting the link:  https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/guidance-returning-officers-administering-local government-elections-england/nominations/resources-returning-officers-nominations   


2. It is recommended to email completed forms to nominations@north-norfolk.gov.uk so they can  be checked by an Officer prior to formal submission. An appointment can then be made to  formally submit the forms, by hand once any required amendments have been made.  


3. Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Deputy Returning Officer, on any working  day after the date of this notice between the hours of 10am and 4pm but no later than 4pm on  Thursday 9 April 2026  


4. The poll will take place on Thursday 7 May 2026.  


5. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on  Monday 20 April 2026. Apply online at: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote  


6. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of  proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 21 April 2026.  Postal votes can be applied for online at www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote or by paper form  obtained from Electoral Services at the address above.  


7. New applications to vote by proxy at this election and applications for Voter Authority  Certificates must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 28 April 2026.  Proxy votes can be applied for online at www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote or by paper form  obtained from Electoral Services at the address above.  8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on grounds of physical incapacity, for  work/service reasons or for Voter ID reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by  5pm on Thursday 7 May 2026.  The physical incapacity or change in work arrangements must  have occurred after 5pm on Tuesday 28 April 2026.  For Voter ID, the person must have  lost/destroyed their photo ID after 5pm on Tuesday 28 April 2026.
