Read in the Market Square by our Town Crier for the day - Richard Tree
11am The National Poem
Read in front of the War Memorial by children from the town‘s schools
11.15am Commemorative Wreath Laying
Special commemorative wreaths will be laid by the Royal British Legion and Fakenham Town Council
6.30pm D-Day talk by Col. Martyn Todd
Guests will be welcomed to the Parish Church with a guard of honour
7-9pm Forties Themed Entertainment
Music from the Salvation Army Fellowship Band and 1940s tribute performance by the fabulous Miss Kitty Collins, with 1940s background music in-between
9.10pm Air Raid Siren
9.15pm The International Tribute read by

Sounding of the All-Clear
The Charter Market will be in full swing with decorated stalls and a busker singing 1940s tunes.
Former servicemen and women from Veteran’s Central will be present along with a Jeep that took part in the D-Day landings! 1940s Fire Engine courtesy of the Fire Service Museum.
Events in the church include a display by Fakenham Archive Society.
The Queen’s Dragoon Guards and The Royal Lancers will be in attendance throughout the day to support our town and will be providing the guard of honour.
Food Stalls will be available or support National Fish & Chip Day by purchasing from one of our local Fish & Chip shops.
Dressing-up is positively encouraged!
