A member of Fakenham Town Council since 1999, I’ve been involved in community matters since the campaign for traffic lights at the Queens Road junction, as a young mum in the 1970s. As a founder member of Fakenham Area Partnership, I helped set up projects such as the Christmas Lights, Fakenham in Bloom, Farmers’ Market and Community Car scheme, often in collaboration with councillors. With a background in management accounts, I’ve more recently been engaged with local government budgetary challenges, financial matters and supporting plans to maximise the potential of the Town Council’s assets.
